$2.5 million Contra Costa County settlement for a fall by an inspector on a construction site resulting in post traumatic stress disorder.

$2.5 million Alameda County settlement with an obstetrician and hospital in a birth injury case. The case settled with the hospital during closing argument after a two month trial. The settlement was substantially affected by the limitations imposed by the Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA).

$1.4 million San Francisco Superior Court award in a product liability action against the manufacturer of a logging machine for a man caught in a yarder during a logging operation.

$1 million Humboldt County jury verdict for the parents of a 19 year-old nondependent son who died in an automobile accident.

$1 million settlement obtained in a sexual molestation case involving a 14-year-old boy.

$1 million settlement in a truck/auto accident that occurred in Arcata, California involving a 58-year-old woman who sustained significant orthopedic injuries.

$1 million settlement for a 49-year-old male who sustained a brain injury in a head-on motor vehicle collision.

Confidential settlement during trial for a 51-year-old woman who was sexually assaulted by an orderly at a local hospital while plaintiff was a patient at the hospital. As a result of plaintiff's claim, the hospital underwent a significant reorganization and implemented new policies to better protect patients from physical and sexual abuse.

$1 million settlement for a Eureka family in a suit against Cary Stayner and his employer. Mr. Stayner has been convicted of murdering Carole and Juli Sund at a lodge near Yosemite National Park in 1999.

$900,000.00 Humboldt County settlement on behalf of a woman who was rendered paraplegic as a result of an anaesthetic accident. The anaesthesiologist and the hospital contributed equally to the settlement. This was another settlement that was substantially limited by MICRA.
